Masquerade (Games #3)
Nyrae Dawn

A biker. A tattoo artist. A love to last a lifetime.Maddox Cross has always had to be tough. When his father went to jail for murder, the teenager took care of his sister and mother. Now on his own and working security at a night club, Maddox wants to become a tattoo artist-a dream that comes closer to reality when he falls for the hottest, most tatted woman he's ever seen. She's wild and beautiful, and Maddox will do anything to be with her.

Bee Malone came to town to open up her new tattoo parlor, Masquerade. Since being kidnapped as a young girl, Bee has had trouble getting close to anyone. But when she meets Maddox, she sees that under his hard biker's body is the sensitive soul of an artist. What starts out as a sizzling one-night stand soon becomes so much more.

Bee wants Maddox to join her tattoo business, but letting him into her life means revealing all her most intimate secrets. And as the past begins to intertwine with her present, Bee fears their love may not be as permanent as their ink . . .

Kat's Review

Nyrae Dawn has a way of writing digging deep into her characters' inner emotions and using them to her advantage when creating her stories. She writes YA and NA (this is a new adult book), with an easy flow to her stories that keeps you reading longer than you probably intended to. This is the third book in a series, but it can easily be read as a stand alone story.

Told in dual point of view, both Bee and Maddox work through their own personal issues while wading through the unlikely friendship that springs up between them. The author isn't afraid to tackle tough issues, and both these characters have secrets they're trying to hide from each other. At the same time, they find themselves relying more and more on the other to get them through their problems.

If you've read the first two books, you'll see a similarity in the story line. Still, it's a formula that has worked well for this author, and if you like it, you won't be disappointed here.

Kat's Rating: Worth a Look

If you like New Adult that is fun and sexy but with a bit of a deeper story line than the usual, this book may be what you're looking for.

I received a complimentary copy of this title from NetGalley & the publisher in return for an honest review.
